This is on my 2015 RT PLUS SHAKER 5.7 Manual shift.
Make sure before downloading your update to your USB Stick:
Make sure you use a 4 GB USB STICK
Download the update to your computer.
Unzip the downloaded file and then copy the files to your Stick.
Before entering your car make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is disabled.
Make sure you are out in the open and have very good cellular service before attempting to update to your car.
Make sure your cars E brake is on , in park or neutral and accessories are off.
Now, Start your car and let it come up to operating temperature.
Now, plug the USB stick that you downloaded the files to into your USB connector.
Wait for up to 5 minutes for the UConnect radio to find the files.
Once it does the download will take up to 30 mins.
Follow the instructions on your UConnect screen to complete the download.
Note: If the UConnect does not start to download after 5 mins, scroll thru your UConnect in settings to see if there is an option to accept the update.
ONE MORE THING:
WHen speaking to Mother Mopar I found that the update can cause the radio to fail rendering it junk.
You will get a failure on your screen and at that point you should call MOPAR.
Let them know the failure code.
They will most likely tell you to go to your dealer to confirm the failure code at which time the dealer should contact MOPAR to have the radio replaced at no charge to you.
The update works on some cars with no problem. Others it kills the radio!
Mopar knows this and thus far are agreeing to pay for replacement at no charge. I have a feeling that the future will not be so kind!
I suspect that some of the issues are the software or units prior to April of 2015.
This is only an assumption but I base this on the fact that there has been mention many times of issues with updates on prior Mopars. If anyone can confirm please do so.
Fortunately my update worked fine once I realized exactly what to do.
My Sport mode now works like it did when new.
