Such a brilliant mod, and not too pricey. I think it's how the Shaker should sit

Folks, if I didn't like my look as much as I do..........I'd buy this. My shaker height has the "392 HEMI" badge clearly above the hood opening. I'm afraid raising it another 3/4" will look too high (or stick out like a sore thumb?). I'll take the proportions just as they are.

Anyway, this an excellent product for the price.

I was thinking as I watched it. Hmm, a couple bucks in hardware, tape up some washer stacks, and BOOM, done for about $5. The magnets in the spacers, nice touch for sure, and little caps incase the top SHAKER nuts hit the hood, nice touch as well.
THEN the "Oh yeah" moment of the seal needs changed as well. Finding the right stuff, getting enough, another $10-$20. Then mucking around measuring for the optimal height, $50 is starting to sound very reasonable.

i received mine Thursday and posted above when i ordered them. the only issue i had with the install on my 396 was the spacer for the rod coupling with the new stud was not seating against the metal shaker cover making the assembly too tall. i had to modify the spacer by removing the washer and shaving down the shrink tube, allowing the rod coupling to sit higher than the plastic spacer and up into the shaker cover hole.

once i did that the kit fit like a glove.

When I first saw this I was actually super enthusiastic about it, then I looked at mine, and then again at the pictures/videos and now I'm on the fence. It seemed like such a small amount but a huge difference. I was thinking maybe splitting the difference with the increase in height for just a smidge more visibility, then the whole issue of the seal comes into play.
So, I'll wait and keep overanalyzing it in my mind.

Just be careful. For some reason on the 345 I could never get it to sit right even after moving it as far over and back as suggested in the directions. Ended up carving a nice big notch under there due to the bolt rubbing through the seal. Also mashed the seal at both front bolts. Not sure why, had no more room to adjust away from the front. Got in touch and they said they're sending replacement 5 and 7 risers but I might hold off on reinstalling and staying stock for now. Gotta go and buff and paint over the big scuff there now.

Wow that sucks. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll let you know how my install goes as soon as I receive it and get it installed. Hopefully I have no issues. We will see. Thanks again for the post.

Honestly they look like fender washers taped together so it could. I've thought about it. there is one that is a post but could easily be fashioned to fit the same. You would need a new seal though, as there would then be a gap. But I feel like its just high heat channel sealing.. I have thought about it, but I want to talk to scalia, as the seal has ripped more after a few burnouts....

That'll work too. It seems like they sent me srt 392 spacers and the 5 and 7 were shorter. I ran the car kinda hard on the way home today. Good 45 minutes and when I checked the seal wasn't even remotely smooshed and nothing seemed to be rubbing anymore. I'm still using the Mopar Shaker nuts. Used the rest of the mounts they originally sent with my order as the new kit seemed to be the one that includes the different 9 mount for the 392. So far its looking like this is the right size and setup that should have been from the start.

So after another week with the supposed fix of the lower mounts, I've decided to give up on this mod. It still getting mashed in the 5 and 7 corners and rubbing the paint off onto the seal. Also when removing the mod noticed that those 2 new mounts must have not been as sturdy as they cracked. The other original mounts were fine. All in all I myself would not recommend this. It even chewed through the 3m protective seal for the Shaker on the hood. Stick with stock and your car will love you.

Did you over tighten The magnets? Gonna have to monitor mine if they cracked for no reason . that sucks dude!

magnets like those used in this kit are rather brittle - if you dropped one or put a lot of pressure / torque on it, they'll crack

PS: its also a good idea to apply silicone to the weather strip / seal - it will help with the rubbing

so after a month of having the kit on and 2 weeks of the "new" lower spacer kit it is still squishing the rubber seals at the front corners and starting to wear thru the paint on the shaker opening . i think ill need to swap the front nuts out like the other poster.

overall i love the look but not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze, ill report back once i give it a couple weeks with the smaller front shaker nuts as it is obviously the tall nuts that are hitting the hood corner on the passanger side when the motor flexes.
